In order to solve the issue that carrier frequency estimation of time-frequency overlapped signals is difficult in Alpha-stable distribution noise environment, a novel carrier frequency estimation method of the time-frequency overlapped signals is proposed. First the definition of Generalized Fourth-Order Cyclic Cumulant (GFOCC) of the time-frequency overlapped signals is proposed. Then the carrier frequency of each signal component is estimated by detecting the cycle frequency of the amplitude spectrum of GFOCC, which is corresponding to discrete spectra line. Finally, the theoretical asymptotic analysis demonstrates that this estimation method is asymptotically unbiased and consistent. Simulation results show that the proposed method achieves good estimation performance and robustness in Alpha-stable distribution noise environment.
