Study on Video Coding Subsystem Design of H.323 Video Conference System

  • This paper presents eight problems of video encoding and decoding subsystem design in H.323 video conference system, such as motion estimation, rate control etc. For each problem, after introducing their background, the paper finds their solutions and algorithm steps are described in detail. Some technical renovations are discussed also. These results are incorporated into a real-life H.323 system which achieves outstanding video performance improvement.
